Parenting 101 - The quick fix

As promised, I now bring you the latest edition of Parenting 101. This one's a biggie because it's the answer to so many parenting problems out there. I know, I'm a giver.

Have a child who won't stop running around like a chicken with its head cut off?

Or a child who keeps getting in to things that he/she shouldn't get in to?

A child who just won't stay in bed at bedtime?

An older child who's been sneaking out at night?

Or do you just need some quality "Me Time" during which you don't want to have to worry about what the kids are up to?

Well parents, I have the perfect solution for you:

The Velcro Wall

Yes folks, this is the perfect solution for a multitude of problems. Just suit Junior up and stick him to the wall. Peace of mind is just some hook & loop away. You're welcome.

Now that little Bobby/Betty is taken care of, how about joining in over at the Life is Funny blog carnival? Like the Velcro Wall, it will make your life complete.

This is perfect- thanks for solving all my problems! Stupid parenting books with their nurturing and listening- this is more up my alley.

Where were you when my kids were young?

At church one evening, for middle school and high school youth, we had an activity where the kids divided into three teams, and DUCT TAPED one member to the wall. The winners were the ones who got their person to stay up the longest.

that was just one of those nights where I was walking around praying that I wouldn't get arrested...

But really, just turn it into a game! If they are busy trying to stay attached to the wall, they aren't going to be driving you crazy!

I love this great tip! What an infomercial to run out and get one of these set up. The only problem is that they can still talk, yell, scream, cry or complain! Yet I love the concept.

I think this would be better suited to those kids that wander off or to teens that need to stay put!

Love it! I have vowed to do whatever my (future) daughter tries to get away with... crazy hair colors, piercing, trampy clothes or make up. I have a feeling it won't be as appealing if Mom does it too! :)

TFD, that is an awesome idea! I just hope the conservative look will be in by then...

Ooooh, I think I like Holly's idea...you can duct tape their mouths shut, too, and have peace and quiet along with your peace of mind.

Off to find velcro or duct tape...
