Oh, what a sad state of affairs! I'm afraid that I have to report the death of a pie. Thankfully (see "How to cook a turkey" post), it was not the Caramel Pecan Pie.
The mishap occurred with my apple pie... So many apples gave their lives for that pie...
The buzzards started swooping in as soon as I announced the loss. Okay, maybe not so much buzzards as my husband. He pounced on that pie without mercy. Perhaps he should have waited a bit longer since I had just taken it out of the oven...
On the up side, the Caramel Pecan Pie was wonderful, and I have a big container of turkey to show for it! Mmmm...
